What Is Polyvagal-Informed Support?
Polyvagal-informed support is based on the science of the autonomic nervous system — the system that controls our stress response.
Children and teens often struggle not because they “won’t” regulate, but because their nervous systems are stuck in:
✖️ Fight or flight (anxiety, reactivity, impulsivity)
✖️ Shutdown (withdrawal, low motivation, overwhelm)
✖️ Chronic stress activation
Polyvagal-informed sessions help students:
🌱 Recognize their stress responses
🌱 Understand what their body is communicating
🌱 Build tools to shift into calmer, more regulated states
This is not traditional talk therapy. It is skills-based, body-informed regulation training.

Our Approach at Learning Linx
We integrate nervous system regulation directly into academic and executive functioning support. When a child’s nervous system feels safe and supported, learning becomes more accessible. Services are provided in a supportive, structured, child-centered environment designed to build confidence and long-term resilience.
Polyvagal-informed services provided at Learning Linx are educational and coaching-based. They are not psychotherapy, do not diagnose mental health conditions, and are not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment.
Insurance & Superbill Information
Polyvagal-Informed Regulation Support at Learning Linx is a private-pay service. However, for families who have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a detailed superbill for possible insurance reimbursement.
Superbills include:
► Provider NPI and practice information
► Service dates and CPT codes
ICD-10 diagnosis codes (when previously established by a licensed provider)
► Session duration and fee documentation
Please note:
► Learning Linx does not bill insurance directly.
► Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by plan.
► A previously documented diagnosis from a licensed medical or behavioral health provider is required in order to issue a superbill.
📧 Families are responsible for submitting the superbill to their insurance carrier and verifying their individual plan benefits.
If you would like to explore whether your plan offers out-of-network reimbursement, we recommend contacting your insurance provider and asking about coverage for Health & Behavior Intervention services.
